About
About Zac meakin

Profile

Zac began racing at seven-years-old, first competing in various indoor karting events to develop his race craft and skills. He entered more indoor competitions before joining the Raceway Karting Race Academy in 2012.

Meakin progressed to compete in outdoor karting after only six months of racing across indoor circuits, firstly in

Trent Valley Kart Club events at the iconic PFi International Kart Circuit in the Cadet class, where the young driver won ‘Novice of the Year’ at eight-years-old. Zac soon made the move into the prestigious Motorsport UK British Kart

Championship and competed in European race events in the X30 Junior class, including the 2018 IAME Winter Cup in Valencia with Wentvalley Motorsports, followed by the 2018 IAME International Final at Le Mans racing for Fusion

Motorsport. Meakin returned to the IAME International Final grid in 2019 with Mick Barrett Racing racing in the same class.

Over his karting career, Zac proved his racing ability, going from finishing within the top ten in the X30 Mini class at the

2018 Kartmasters GP with Wentvalley Motorsports, and in the same year secured third overall in the Little Green Man

UK Championship Series, following mutiple podium finishes throughout the season.

The following year, Meakin continued to secure podium victories in the fiercely competitive British Kart Championships X30 Junior class with Fusion Motorsport in 2019.

2021 marked a pivotal moment in Zac’s racing career. The British driver joined the Michelin Ginetta Junior Challenge line-up with Raceway Motorsports after a rigorous year of testing for his car racing debut. After completing his rookie year and continuing to enhance his racing experience in this challenging series, Meakin returned to the Ginetta Junior grid in 2022 with Preptech UK.

Zac showed significant improvement early in the season and provided strong competition amongst the mid-pack; later in the season, going on to contest at the top of the grid and secured a P2 finish at the infamous Thruxton circuit.

Following a noticeably positive time in Ginetta Junior’s, Zac embarked on a career move to racing in a Porsche, making his debut with Team Parker Racing at the 2023 Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe.

Zac moved into the British GT Championship in GT4 in 2023, initially in the Porsche 718 GT4 Clubsport RS, before switching to the McLaren Artura GT4. In a challenging year, he showed his pace, qualifying third at Oulton Park and Portimão. He plans to return to the GT4 class for 2024, building on his knowledge and challenging for race wins…
